Creating Change in 2025
Human-Centered Design Jam for Social Impact
Bringing together the next generation of technologists, artists, and diverse communities to collaboratively address social issues using human-centered design approaches.
In a spirit of experimentation, innovation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams will have less than 48 hours to develop and prototype completely new services, products or initiatives inspired by a shared theme. Our three day schedule is jam-packed with brilliance stemmed from previous jams.
In 2019, eight strangers passionate about using design jams for good organized the first Toronto Jam for Good as part of the Global Jam. The event brought together 35 participants (with a 25-person waitlist), 22 mentors, six judges, nine speakers, and several sponsors. In 2020, a larger team attempted to host it again, but last-minute cancellations due to COVID-19 forced a pivot to an online event—before virtual events became the norm. After a two-year break, T4JG 2023 marked the revival of the event in partnership with Antler. In 2024, we collaborated with 1RG, and for 2025, the team is coming together once again to expand T4JG’s impact.
Note*: All free time inbetween schedule will be used for you and your team to keep developing the idea.

Network, connect, and break into teams to explore potential topics! Listen and stay engaged. This is the starting point for your JAM concepts.
Build out the details of the concept throughout the day. The sessions will be your guide in successfully completing the JAM.
Present your concept to the rest of the Jab participants in the closing session. This is your chance to shine and show off your hard work!
